Palma de Mallorca
Palma de Mallorca is the capital of the island of Mallorca and the Balearic Islands. It is the largest city and the one with the greatest economic and cultural offer. Located on the Mediterranean Sea, Palma de Mallorca is very close to Barcelona and is very well connected by sea and air with the rest of Spain and Europe.
Palma is a quiet and relaxed city. The tree-lined promenades invite you to take a walk and feel the sea breeze. Shops along the squares and alleys offer the opportunity for a shopping tour, or you can enjoy the typical dishes of Mediterranean gastronomy on one of the several terraces.
The old town with its small, narrow streets invites you to lose yourself in them. A walk through the historic center is the best way to get to know the city through its architecture. This is an example of the cultural mix of the ancient civilisations that inhabited the island in the past.
La Soledad
Palma is composed of several districts, some of which are very well known, such as La Lonja or Santa Catalina. The district of La Soledad is an upcoming and developing neighborhood with a lot of culture and character. In the mid-19th century, it was one of the most important centers for the development of industrial manufacturing in the city of Palma. Here you can visit the remains of textile and shoe factories, now converted into museums, parks and cultural buildings.
